Technology is an integral part of the entire educational process. In fact, it is listed in the Georgia Performance Standards. So some educators struggle to find ways to integrate technology into the classroom. Some veteran teachers are confused about technology and are not familiar enough with it enough to be successful using it in their classrooms. Teachers also have assess whether they are using technology as an aid to the educational process, or are they using technology simpy for the sake of using it. How do teachers incorporate technology into their curriculum? Teachers use websites to provide parents with information regarding upcoming tests or assignments, as well as a way to keep in touch with parents about general school issues or upcoming events. I too, have a class website, you can find it here: . Teachers can also find ways to get their students comfortable with finding reliable online resources. The students, are for the most part, familiar with the internet. It only makes sense that teachers integrate it into assignments. Teachers are finding new ways to make learning fun and interesting for kids, IPODS hold endless possibilities for aiding the educational process, and I suspect that they will become much more commonplace in schools. Technology is constantly changing and teachers will either embrace it or be left behind. It is essential that technology becomes even more involved with classroom objectives.

Technology
As educators, we have a responsibility to prepare our students for the future. Their future, even more so than ours, is dependent upon technology. More students are familiar with computers and online resources than ever before. I in an attempt to create both a more effective and more convenient learning environment depend upon the use of technology. I post all of my assignments on a class website, as well as post links to additional resources. It is important to realize that students will use technology as they move onto postsecondary education as well as when they transition to the workforce. I believe that surrounding my students with technology is going to help them adapt to the constantly changing technological society in which they will encounter for the rest of their lives. I believe that teachers who do not accept and embrace technology are doing their students a grave injustice. They need to be familiar with finding appropriate sources, saving work to flash drives or IPODS, and in general learning how to use technology to aid their educational experiences. Technology is constantly evolving, and therefor our teaching styles and dependence on technology should also be evolving. Teachers more than other professions have a responsibility to be familiar with new and existing technology.
